Covid, Protest, and drywall….

What does all that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Nothing

But that has a lot to do with what has been going on with my plans.

One good thing about Covid?  I have been able to spend a lot more time on the basement remodel – and we are getting it finished!!!    Downside?  I’m getting tendinitis (tennis elbow) really bad, I feel old and tired all the time, and we live in a house that is dusty – ALL the time….  There is no escaping it.  I’m glad that my drums are down at the MadWagon shop.  They just smell like diesel.  But at least they aren’t covered with an inch of dust!!!

If I could spell HELL – it would be D R Y W A L L….

Anyway, with Covid and the general unrest with the population of late – it is tough to not get a bit (more than a bit) depressed.  It is a great release when MW gets together, write songs, burn calories, make music.  It’s great!  But we/I miss playing shows!!!  I know every musician is in the same boat.

But hopefully we will figure a way to maneuver this current crisis and continue bringing folks music and fun  😉

I’ve been ‘off’ social media, for the most part, other than looking at motorcycles, drums, and cute pictures of puppies….  Everything else is just a bit too much.  Head in the sand?  Maybe – but I just want us all to love one another, and rock out.

Time to schedule the tape and texture for the basement, painting, then floor polishing, finish plumbing and trim, and then more painting.  Then I will need to have some quotes on acoustic treatment…. and start making some videos…..  2+ years later ;-(

Hang in there 😉
