I’ve tried to go the ‘inexpensive’ route on video cameras – I mean really inexpensive – just to see if I could capture what it was I wanted to capture.
Let’s just say that those cameras were CHEAP. And it looked like it…
So, since we are still in mid-remodel on the basement, and I don’t really have a space to do proper videos, I thought I would bring my ‘new’ GoPro down to the shop and give it a whirl.
This is a trial run. No work with lights, audio right off the camera (right above a very heavy cymbal and a very thin one right next to it) – but I didn’t think it was too bad.
We were lucky enough to be hanging out with a rad producer, Andy Korn. We are discussing doing our next single with him. Awesome guy, killer drummer….
Anyway, the song (though you can’t hear much of it) is a new one from Madwagon called ‘In 78’. Kind of reliving our childhoods, talking about all the stuff we did ‘back in the day’.
Anyway, I also just put on my new Attack Orbit kick drum head. With the camera RIGHT on top of the cymbals, you can’t really hear it – but it is AWESOME!!! I’m diggin in.
