Definitely a toss up… Toys in the attic, or Rocks. I don’t care how you play it, rocks crushes paper, and scissors…and for me, it also crushes Toys in the attic.
I think, for me, this is where Steven Tyler and Joe Perry just started battling it out. Between Steven’s nearly blown out voice (though he still sounds pretty good 40 years later…) and Perry’s riffs, this album is what hit me like a bag of bricks.
I listened to toys. To me it was a great album too. With songs like Sweet Emotion and Walk this Way… It was great. But it seemed to be more of a duo. With Rocks, it seemed to me more of a fight. And I ate it up.
